EHL was instrumental in enacting a biologically sound NCCP on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The great majority of the remaining habitat will be protected, especially prime coastal sage scrub.

EHL assisted activists in Claremont in protecting an alluvial fan from sand mining as well as supported the local community in securing a good management plan for Bonelli Park in San Dimas.

Our largest accomplishment was at Tejon Ranch, where a coalition of groups negotiated an agreement that protected 90% of this 270,000 landscape, encompassing the Mojave, Tehachapi Mountain, and Central Valley ecosystems. We continue to oppose other proposed developments that would impair regional wildlife movement in this region.
